10 Reasons why The Les Mis. Movie is the most wonderful thing I have ever come across in nearly fifteen years:
1. It’s a musical.
2. It is filmed live instead of actors recording the songs apart from the film.
3. It made me cry from the beginning number of “Look Down” to the last scene of “Do You Hear The People Sing?” So much that my eyes were comparable to a faucet.
4. It was casted perfectly, especially in the cases of Fantine, Jean Valjean, and Marius.
5. The songs were fitted in and executed flawlessly.
6. The sing to speak ratio practically made it an operetta.
7. The emotions portrayed were felt by many in the audience, and many were compelled to sing with the actors in songs, particularly “Do You Hear The People Sing?”
8. The characters were so dynamic and complex, and their struggles were portrayed excellently by the actors, particularly Fantine, Marius and Javert.
9. It told how a criminal can become a saint.
10. It showed how love can rise from tragedy (cheesy, I know, but true).

Conflicting

I hear TFiOS is going to be a movie.  I am having conflicted feelings about this.  Like, in a way I want to see what Hazel looks like, hear Augustus’s voice see if they get his eyes the way Hazel describes them.  And then there’s that what if, (for there’s always a what if) what if they don’t get it right and then when I read the book these terrible actors’s voices, faces, etc come to my mind every time.  -_- Can someone really tell it the way Hazel does though?  Truly?
